Reach Media-syndicated morning host Tom Joyner has announced that plans for a new syndicated television show to debut in fall 2005 are already in the works. The show, hosted by Joyner, will include taped performances by both usic and comedy acts; sketches by the Tom Joyner Show players; a "My Big Break" feature, which involves the fly-in of two contestants to compete in a talent contest on each show; "Bamboozled" in which celebrities are "Punk'd"; an old-school dance contest; and a "Local Flavor" segment, in which a different city each week will be spotlighted from an African-American point of view. The only show similar to the one Joyner is planning is Steve Harvey's Big Time, which airs on WB network. Tom Joyner Morning Show affiliates will be included in contesting and marketing of the new TV program.
