*Dave Chappelle and “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" director Michel Gondry will hook up for a new as-yet-untitled film in which the comedian will star, according to “Variety.” The project will reportedly mix music and Chappelle doing standup and scripted comedy. Inspired by the 1972 concert film “Wattstax,” the picture will have a documentary aspect to it with some of the musical and comedy elements to be filmed live from the musical and comedy event that will take place in New York.
*Following Andre 3000’s big screen debut in the forthcoming “Get Shorty” sequel “Be Cool,” (opposite John Travolta and Uma Thurman), OutKast rapper will start production on Guy Ritchie’s new film “Revolver,” a psychological thriller set in the gambling world. Dre will move to London to begin filming later this year. “Be Cool,” which finds Andre as the member of a rap group called Dub MDs, will hit theaters in March 2005.
