Of course, he’s referring to the police photo of his wife Kimora Lee Simmons taken just after she was arrested July 26 following a police pursuit leading up to her New Jersey estate. On Aug. 4 she pleaded innocent to disorderly conduct, possessing marijuana and eluding police for refusing to pull over her Mercedes.

"There was not a bag of drugs in the car," her attorney, Stacey Richman told Freydkin. "Evidently some item that has some marijuana residue in it was in the car. I don't believe the item belonged to her."

Russell Simmons says the reason his wife kept rolling when police motioned for her to stop has nothing to do with drugs.

"She's very innocent," he told the paper. "If you drove down our block, you would never want to pull over. It's a twisting, turning, dark road."

Meanwhile, the 6-foot-1, 29-year-old former model – the product of a Japanese-American mother and African-American father - launches the Simmons Jewelry Co. this fall, and begins a new gig as co-host of the syndicated “Life & Style,” a View-like talk show premiering today in selected markets.
