Video-sharing site YouTube said in a blog post Friday that it’s offering some of its videos in a higher-quality format now. The site did not specify the format or what constitutes higher quality.

However, YouTube said in its posts that this feature applies to all eligible videos uploaded to the YouTube site and is not restricted to partner content.

“The ability to upload higher-quality videos means improved sharpness and visual clarity for many YouTube videos,” the company said in its post. “The difference is especially noticeable in videos that contain text or fast movement and in full-screen mode.”

YouTube said users can choose to watch higher-quality videos by clicking on the “always show me higher quality when available” option on their account page.
