Performing rights organization SESAC has announced the promotion of Bill Lee to Senior Vice President, Licensing Operations. Formerly Vice President, Licensing, Lee will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Licensing Department including the administrative, cable, broadcast and general licensing functions as well as the Business Development Center and Accounts Resolution Departments.

“Bill Lee is a true leader and a valuable asset to the entire SESAC organization,” said Pat Collins, President/COO, SESAC. “With all the exciting new possibilities in the always evolving world of music, now is the perfect opportunity to expand Bill’s role as head of the Licensing Department. Bill will continue to lead the Licensing Department and help drive SESAC’s growth through continuous improvement in the services provided to licenses, songwriters and music publishers.”

Lee began his career with SESAC in 1997, as Vice President, Licensing Operations. Prior to joining SESAC, Lee served 18 years as the Senior Manager of Licensing for ASCAP. Lee holds a B.B.A. degree from Pace University as well as a MBA from Trevecca Nazarene University. Lee is a member of AMOA (Amusement and Music Operators Association), AH & LA (American Hotel & Lodging Association, ACM (Academy of Country Music), CMA, IAAPA (International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions) and Leadership Music Class of 2007 and has served on the Board of Examiners for the TNCPE (Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence) since 2006.
