*Filmmaker Spike Lee and actress Gabrielle Union have both picked up television work for the upcoming fall season.

Lee has signed on to direct NBC’s drama pilot "M.O.N.Y.," about an unlikely everyman who becomes the mayor of New York.

Union, last seen on TV in ABC’s cancelled drama “Night Stalker,” returns to the network in “Football Wives,” the American version of the popular BBC soap that focuses on the wives of pro football players.

With a theme similar to the CW’s “The Game,” Union will play an ex-model-turned-recording artist who is the gorgeous fiancee of a star wide receiver.
